Other shoe care products suddenly become unnecessary. Footwear made from leather, hide, synthetic leather, rubber and plastic can be cleaned gently and effectively with micare cleaning soap. Regular maintenance and care can extend the life of your shoes and boots by many years. It is a sustainable choice for the environment, as it reduces the need to buy new shoes. Following a few simple care routines helps your shoes and boots not only look elegant but also perform well and remain comfortable through several seasons.

How we recommend cleaning and maintaining your footwear:

Before you start, have the following ready:

micare cleaning soap – lukewarm water – a medium-stiff scrubbing brush – microfibre cloth.

• Start by dipping the dry sponge directly into the cleaning soap and gently massage it over the dirty areas of the shoe.
• Rinse the sponge as needed, squeeze out the water, then dip it into the soap again.
• Apply the soap to the entire shoe, including the outside of the sole.
• Rubber soles can withstand a scrubbing brush, an old toothbrush or the abrasive side of a scouring sponge.

The soles can be rinsed clean with a little water on the sponge. Leather, however, should not be rinsed with water afterwards. Wipe off excess soap and dirt with a microfibre cloth.

NOTE: If the laces are dirty, remove them and wash them with micare cleaning soap. If that does not solve the problem, a new pair costs around DKK 25. When buying new laces, simply count the eyelets on one side (7 in this case) or measure the full length:

For 3 eyelets, your lace should be 70 cm long.
For 4 eyelets – 90 cm.
For 5 eyelets – 110 cm.
For 6–7 eyelets – 130 cm.
