Product questions & use
The difference lies in the water used. Care soap is made with demineralised water, while cleaning soap is made with regular water.
We recommend care soap for wooden and leather furniture, as well as laminate and linoleum. Cleaning soap is used on other suitable surfaces.
The products have very different uses. Cleaning soap is the first step in everyday cleaning and has a high fat content. Naturren is used for more stubborn dirt, light limescale deposits and polishing suitable hard surfaces.
It is not essential whether the sponge is wet or dry. A dry sponge gives a more concentrated soap, while a damp sponge uses less soap and makes it easier to create a lather. Always remember to wet natural stone before cleaning.
Work the soap into a lather when caring for leather and wood. This also reduces the amount of water used.
- Wet the supplied OEKO-TEX® certified sponge and squeeze out the excess water.
- Apply soap to the sponge and create a lather by repeatedly squeezing it in your hand.
Cleaning & care of surfaces
Clean the sink with micare cleaning soap and the supplied sponge. Rinse away all soap and dirt thoroughly, dry the surface and finish with an ultra-thin layer of balm. For stubborn limescale, use micare Naturren on a damp sponge. Rinse and dry afterwards.
Laminate and linoleum can look greasy, streaky or dry. Apply care soap to the sponge and work it across the entire surface. Remove soap and dirt with a microfibre cloth wrung out in hot water, then polish with a dry cloth.
Streaks are often caused by the surface becoming dry. Clean the entire surface with care soap, remove all soap and dirt with a microfibre cloth wrung out in hot water, and polish immediately with a dry cloth.
Wet the tiles, apply cleaning soap and leave it to work wet-on-wet for 15–20 minutes. Scrub with a brush and rinse thoroughly. For stubborn limescale, micare Naturren can be used on suitable surfaces.
For lightly soiled grout, apply cleaning soap, leave it to work for 15–20 minutes, scrub with a grout brush and rinse thoroughly. For heavily soiled grout, micare Naturren can be used.
Marble is a delicate natural stone. Always wet the marble before cleaning, use a damp sponge, work the soap in using circular movements and do not allow it to dry. Always rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Taps & metals
These surfaces tolerate only mild soaps and should not be treated with abrasive products or strong polishes. Clean regularly with micare cleaning soap, dry after use and avoid standing water around the tap. An ultra-thin layer of balm can be applied to suitable surfaces for protection.
Clean steel, brushed steel, brass, brushed brass, copper and brushed copper regularly with micare cleaning soap. For limescale, micare Naturren can be used. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a clean microfibre cloth.
Leather care
Lightly dampen the sponge, apply the care soap and work it into a lather in your hand. Treat one area at a time and use only as much lather as the leather can absorb. Remove any excess soap. After 20–30 minutes, an ultra-thin layer of balm can be massaged in for extra protection.
Dampen the sponge, apply care soap and create a rich lather. Clean the bag gently and remove excess soap with a dry cloth. On suitable smooth leather, an ultra-thin layer of balm can be applied afterwards for extra protection.
Car cleaning
micare cleaning soap can be used on suitable surfaces in the car interior. Work with small amounts, remove dirt with a wrung-out microfibre cloth, and apply only an ultra-thin layer of balm to suitable plastic or leather surfaces.
- When spot-cleaning, clean the entire affected area to achieve an even result.
- In many cases, a clean, well-wrung microfibre cloth is sufficient. Wipe up spills immediately.
Specialist products & specific uses
For light dirt, wipe the bin with a well-wrung microfibre cloth. Once completely dry, massage in an ultra-thin layer of balm and polish with a dry, lint-free cloth. For heavier dirt, clean first with cleaning soap. The steel lid can be cleaned with micare Naturren on a damp sponge.
