CLEAN AND CARE FOR YOUR OUTDOOR WOOD

Clean your outdoor wood gently and effectively with micare cleaning soap

Caring for and cleaning outdoor wood is essential to preserve its beauty and durability. Exposure to changing weather means that algae, mould and dirt will damage the wood over time, affecting both its appearance and its lifespan. Regular cleaning and maintenance help keep your outdoor wood beautiful and functional for many years to come. micare cleaning soap is designed to clean gently and effectively while also protecting the wood.

How we recommend cleaning and maintaining your outdoor wood:

Before you start, have the following ready:

micare cleaning soap – a bucket of lukewarm water – a medium-stiff scrubbing brush – a toothbrush, if needed – a microfibre cloth for drying.

  • Lightly dampen the wood.
  • Apply the cleaning soap to the lightly dampened sponge.
  • Use the rich lather and spread the soap over the whole piece of furniture. Make sure you reach every nook and corner.
  • Leave the soap to work for about 15 minutes. Then scrub with a medium-stiff scrubbing brush if needed to remove all dirt and reach into every crevice and crack.
  • Rinse the wood to remove the dirty lather.
  • Wipe up excess water.
  • Finish by applying a thin layer of cleaning soap, which forms a protective film and further lightens the wood. We recommend this step if you want to keep a silver-grey look or simply make your furniture lighter.

Another feature of micare cleaning soap is that you can apply it to wood without scrubbing or scouring. Over time, the soap naturally lightens the wood as it gradually tackles algae and dirt. You can repeat the process a few times until you achieve the desired effect.

Following these steps helps keep your outdoor wood clean, protected and beautiful all year round. The cleaning soap makes it easy to maintain the wood and extend its lifespan, so you can enjoy its natural beauty for many years to come.

The soap is gentle on the furniture, on you and on the environment.

Types of outdoor wood include bamboo, teak, oak, eucalyptus, acacia, cedar, robinia, ipé, mahogany, spruce, cypress, Douglas fir and reclaimed wood.
