Natural stone contains naturally occurring calcium carbonate. Avoid acids, as they dissolve limescale and may also dissolve the stone’s natural calcium content. If this happens, the sink surface can become white, rough and uneven.

How we recommend cleaning and maintaining your natural stone sink:

Before you start, have the following ready:

micare cleaning soap – micare balm – scouring sponge/brush – microfibre cloth – polishing cloth.
(Glossy stone must be buffed afterwards)

• Start by cleaning the sink with the cleaning soap and the supplied Oeko-Tex certified sponge. For stubborn, ingrained dirt, use the abrasive side of a scouring sponge.
• Rinse off all dirt and soap thoroughly.
• Dry the sink with a clean, lint-free cloth.
• Finish by massaging in an ultra-thin layer of balm using circular movements.
• Buff glossy surfaces with a dry, lint-free cloth.
• The sink is ready to use immediately.

How long it lasts depends on use. With daily use, repeat the treatment about every 3 weeks.

For daily cleaning, we recommend rinsing the sink with warm water. If it becomes very dirty, clean it with the cleaning soap, an alkaline soap particularly suitable for natural stone. When dirt and limescale start to build up, it is time for another treatment.

The procedure is the same for all natural stone surfaces, including bathroom fittings, coffee tables, benches, sculptures and similar items.
