The difference is the water. The cleansing soap is made with demineralized water, whereas the cleaning soap is made with regular tap water.

The cleaning soap is for everything else.

It is not crucial whether the sponge is wet or dry – both work fine.

When you use the sponge dry, the soap becomes more concentrated and can have a stronger cleaning effect.
When you use the sponge dampened, you use less soap, which makes it less concentrated and easier to foam up. This is recommended for lighter cleaning tasks.

Either way, it will not damage the material, so you can choose the method that works best for your cleaning.

(Always remember to moisten natural stone before cleaning.)

You lather the soap when you want to care for skin, leather, and wood. This minimizes the use of water.

  • Moisten the included OEKO-TEX certified sponge and squeeze out excess water—ensure it is not dripping wet.
  • Apply a generous amount of soap to the sponge and work it into a lather by repeatedly squeezing it in your hand. Make sure all excess water is wrung out.

Before you begin, have the following ready:

micare cleaning soap – micare balm – scrubbing sponge/brush – microfiber cloth – polishing cloth.

  1. Start by cleaning the sink with the included OEKO-TEX certified sponge and micare cleaning soap. For stubborn dirt, use the rough side of a scrubbing sponge.
  2. Rinse thoroughly to remove all dirt and soap residue.
  3. Wipe the sink dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
  4. Finish by massaging a very thin layer of balm in circular motions.

Your sink is now ready for use.

How do you remove stubborn limescale?

Use Naturren for tough limescale buildup.

  • Moisten the sponge, apply the product, and work it in with the rough side of a scrubbing sponge until the limescale is gone.
  • Rinse and dry the sink.
  • The sink is now ready for the final care and protection with balm.

How to prevent future limescale buildup?

With regular use of this method, limescale will have a harder time forming, making your sink easier to maintain. Unless the surface is damaged by acid, you should see a noticeable transformation after this treatment.

Laminate & linoleum surfaces can often appear either greasy and streaky or very dry and susceptible to damage. Micare care soap helps restore balance and protect the surface.

Here’s how we recommend you clean and maintain your laminate and linoleum surfaces:

Before you begin, have the following ready:
micare care soap – a bucket of lukewarm water – small microfiber cloth – large microfiber cloth.

  1. Apply the care soap directly to the included dry OEKO-TEX sponge.
  2. Clean the greasy fingerprints, streaks, and marks by massaging in circular motions. It's important to distribute the soap evenly across the entire surface for consistent saturation.
  3. Remove all soap and dirt with a clean microfiber cloth wrung out in warm water. We recommend rinsing the cloth in warm water during the process, as it’s essential to remove all soap for a streak-free result.
  4. Once the surface is clean, immediately wipe it with a large, dry, and clean microfiber cloth to achieve a beautiful, even, and streak-free finish.

For daily cleaning, use a clean microfiber cloth wrung out in hot water. Repeat the process as needed, or when the effect starts to fade. You’ll be surprised by the result and durability.

Here’s how we recommend you care for your leather with KIT 2:

Lightly moisten the included sponge, apply the care soap, and as you move the sponge in your hand, a nourishing lather will form. The lather cleans and conditions in one step. We recommend working on one cushion/side at a time and only applying as much lather as the leather can absorb. If the sponge becomes dirty, rinse it out and create fresh, clean lather. Work in soft, circular motions. Remember to remove any excess soap with a dry cloth, or use a brush to ensure no soap residue remains in creases or seams.

For optimal protection and impregnation of your leather:

After 20-30 minutes, gently massage an ultrathin layer of balm into the leather in circular motions. This process locks in the moisture from the soap while leaving your leather soft and protected with an impregnating layer.

The streaks are likely caused by the table becoming too dry. To restore the surface, you should use the care soap.

Here’s how we recommend restoring your laminate surface:

  • Moisten the included sponge, apply the care soap, and massage it into the surface in circular motions. It's important to cover the entire surface of the table.
  • Wipe off the soap and dirt with a clean microfiber cloth wrung out in warm water. Rinse the cloth during the process to ensure all soap is removed.
  • Immediately wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth for a streak-free finish.

Once the table is saturated, you can repeat this procedure approximately once every two weeks.

For daily cleaning, simply use a clean microfiber cloth wrung out in hot water.

Here’s how we recommend you clean and maintain your tiles:

  • Moisten the tiles.
  • Apply the soap and let it sit wet for 15-20 minutes (make sure it doesn’t dry out).
  • Scrub with a scrubbing brush.
  • Rinse thoroughly.

Please note that Micare soaps are not limescale removers. They are alkaline and can handle light limescale. Alkaline means acid-free, making them especially suitable for natural tiles and stone.

What should I do if there’s still limescale left?

  • Use an alkaline limescale remover – always make sure to moisten the tiles first.

How do I prevent limescale build-up?

  • Once the limescale is gone, we recommend washing the tiles weekly with the soap.
  • The soap leaves a protective, conditioning layer that makes it harder for limescale to settle.

Tip: Keep the cleaning soap and a good scrubbing brush in the shower – that way, you can easily scrub the tiles while the conditioner or hair treatment is setting.

For lightly soiled grout:

  • Apply the cleaning soap and let it sit wet for 15-20 minutes (make sure it doesn’t dry out).
  • Scrub with a grout brush.
  • Rinse thoroughly with water.

For heavily soiled grout – use Micare Naturren:

  • Moisten the included sponge.
  • Rub the sponge on the product and squeeze it until a fine cleaning foam forms.
  • Use the sponge and foam to clean the grout, and if needed, supplement with a grout brush.
  • Rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Dry with a clean microfiber cloth.

Tip: Keep the cleaning soap and a scrubbing brush in the shower – that way, you can easily scrub the grout while your conditioner or hair mask is working.

Common to these three types of finishes is that they can only tolerate mild soaps and no polishing or abrasive agents.

To keep your faucet in good condition, clean it regularly with Micare cleaning soap, and wipe it down after use. Cleaning it once a week should be sufficient. It's important to ensure no water remains around the faucet, as this can leave behind limescale, which is difficult to remove without damaging the finish.

Once the faucet is clean and dry, it’s beneficial to massage an ultrathin layer of Micare balm onto it, which acts as an impregnation. The balm helps prevent limescale from settling.

Common to these types of finishes is their high resistance. They can tolerate soap as well as polishing and cleaning agents.

Here’s how we recommend cleaning your faucets in steel | brushed steel | brass | brushed brass | copper | brushed copper:

Regularly clean with micare Cleaning Soap, and wipe it down after use. Cleaning once a week should be sufficient. For limescale build-up, use micare Naturren.

How to remove limescale:

  • Moisten the sponge and apply the Naturren product. By repeatedly squeezing the sponge, a cleaning foam will form.
  • Use the foam to remove the limescale, and if necessary, use a grout brush to reach all corners and cracks.
  • Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a clean microfiber cloth.

If you have handles in ceramic, these can also tolerate this treatment.

If your bin is lightly soiled, dusty, or faded:
Wipe the bin with a microfiber cloth that’s been wrung out well. Once the bin is completely dry, gently massage an ultrathin layer of balm into the surface. Finish by polishing with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

(Note: The product should not leave a greasy residue; if it does, you've applied too much.)

If your bin is very dirty:
Clean the bin with cleaning soap. Remove excess soap and dirt using a microfiber cloth that’s been wrung out well—make sure all soap is rinsed off. Wipe the bin with a microfiber cloth that’s been wrung out well. Once the bin is completely dry, massage an ultrathin layer of balm into the surface. Finish by polishing with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

VIPP Steel Lid:

Remove dust and surface dirt with a dry microfiber cloth.
(Optional: Place an old towel or similar between the lid and the bin to avoid making the bin dirty.)

Moisten the included yellow sponge and apply Naturren product. By repeatedly squeezing the sponge, a cleaning foam will form.
Clean using circular motions.
Remove excess product and dirt with a microfiber cloth that’s been wrung out well.
Finish with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.

(Note: Never clean directly with the product; always only with the cleaning foam.)

Marble is the most delicate of all natural stones, so it’s important to clean it properly.

  • Always remember to moisten the marble before starting the cleaning.
  • Moisten the sponge before applying the soap.
  • Massage the soap in circular motions.
  • It’s beneficial to let the soap sit in a wet-on-wet process – it must not dry in.
  • micare soaps saturate the marble but do not impregnate it.
  • Always rinse the soap thoroughly with warm water.

For this purpose, you can use both the cleaning soap and the cleansing soap. For leather seats, we recommend the cleansing soap, followed by a very thin layer of multi surface conditioner. Keep in mind that the soaps are concentrated, so only a small amount should be used.

Here’s how we recommend you clean your car’s interior:

  • Take a bucket of warm water, the micare soap, a dry microfiber cloth, and possibly a soft toothbrush.
  • Experiment – the soap can be applied directly to a dry sponge, for example, on the dashboard. This gives a nice matte look.
  • If you want a shinier surface, remove dust and dirt with a wrung microfiber cloth. When dry, massage in a very thin layer of balm – especially on door thresholds, as this also enhances the color in the plastic. After polishing, use a dry microfiber cloth to avoid any greasiness.
  • Stain cleaning can cause a new stain, so the entire seat should be cleaned for an even result.
  • Most of the time, a clean wrung microfiber cloth will be sufficient. It is important to absorb spilled food and liquids immediately.
  • Moisten the included sponge.
  • Apply the cleansing soap, squeeze out the water, and lather it in your hands to create a rich, fatty lather.
  • Use the lather to clean and care for the bag.
  • Remove excess soap with a dry cloth and, if necessary, a brush to avoid soap residue in the edges.
  • To maintain moisture and protect the bag from rain and wear, massage an ultra-thin layer of multi surface conditioner afterward.

This helps keep the bag supple, well-maintained, and protected against the elements.
